ok i finally figured it out, I was doing it right but it just looked different from what you had on your screen and so I tohught it was wrong, oops! Thanks for the help

You need to drag one layer over to the other. That’s it.

I fully understand all the steps you’ve shown, but the only problem I am having is opening the two files into the same photoshop screen. When i open the files they go into seperate screens and i cannot combine the two- what am i doing wrong?

It sounds like your image quality is low. Depending on what your final output will be, you should always try and have the largest resolution and then scale down. If your printing and image you will want the resolution settings at 300 dpi.

Thank you, that did help me.
And also I have a question. When I paste a picture on photoshop that I want to makeover like, a person, when I zoom in on it, it’s very hard to do anything because it’s so pixelated. Do you know how to make the picture smooth so it would be easier? I’ve been watching other tutorials on youtube and thei pictures are very smooth.
