I blur beforehand/before mask so it isn’t too sharp. Great job anyway!

I don’t think I was using the blur tool to cover mistakes, but rather to make the mask match the subject more accurately. If you leave your mask too sharp it will be visible even if it is very accurate… it always needs some amount of “feathering” or anti-aliasing, which I use the blur tool to achieve.

instead of blurring the mistakes, why don’t you press “x” on the keyboard? – it switches the paint colour from black to white and vice versa, and you can erase your mistakes.
