In this Photoshop tutorial, we’re going to learn how to blend photos together like a Hollywood movie poster. Blending photos is easy to do in Photoshop thanks to layer masks, yet finding two photos with similar colors isn’t always so easy, and you end up with a photo effect that doesn’t really seem to look right because the colors don’t match. With this technique, you don’t need to worry about the colors in the images at all because we’ll be removing them completely and adding our own colors to blend the two photos seamlessly. Let’s begin: Step 1: Copy and paste one image into the document window of the other image. Step 2: Free transform the image and move it to desire location. Step 3: Add a layer mask. Step 4: Drag out a black to white gradient on the mask to blend the two images (hold down Shift for a straight line). Step 5: Merge both layers onto a new layer (Shift + Ctrl + Alt + E for Windows and Shift + Command + Option + E for Mac). Step 6: Desaturate the layer. Step 7: Add a noise filter. Step 8: Add a solid color adjustment layer. Step 9: Set the layer blend mode to “Color”. This is it, very simple! Step 10: Merge down the layers (optional). Step 11: Add a black center stroke (optional). Step 12: Create a new layer and type your text (optional). I hope you enjoyed this easy tutorial, thanks for watching.

This is a very easy photoshop tutorial and we are going to learn how to create a smoke typography effect playing with some smoke brushes and adjustment layers. You will need to download some smoke brushes if you don’t have any. You may do this here: qbrushes.com Ok, let’s get it done. [1] Create a new document, I used 1920 x 1200 pixels. Apply a gradient using the Layer Style, Gradient Overlay. Make sure to choose Radial for the style and #202b35 – #07090a for the colors. [2] Add your text in white color and go to Filter – Blur – Motion Blur. Then use 90 for the angle and 30 pixels for the distance. [3] Go to Filter – Distort – Wave and use 3 for the number of generators, 10 and 346 for the wave length and 5 and 35 for the amplitude. [4] Next go to Filter – Blur – Gaussian blur and use 10 pixels for the radius. Group this layer and change the blend more to color dodge in order to get this nice light effect. [5] Create a new layer on the top of the others and go to Filter – Render – Clouds with white and black for the background and foreground colors. Change the blend more to color dodge and then go to Layer – Layer Mask – Reveal All. Using a very soft brush with 0% hardness and black color hide some areas of the layer. [6] Now, create a new group and change the blend mode to color dodge again. Add a new layer in this group and using your smoke brushes paint over some letter. Make sure to choose white color for this step. [7] Create a new layer beneath all the other layers …
