The Orton effect is a method of increasing the saturation of colors and adding a dreamy glow to photos. It is very easy to do, but many of the instructions do not show how to handle the over exposure that can occur. They also do not show how to control the blur in different areas of the screen. This tutorial shows you a much better Orton effect process, and is a good introduction to layers as well.

Improvement on my last Photoshop Tutorial, the other one was a little boring and I went rather quick in this one I have slowed right down so that it is easy to follow and I have also added Titles so that everyone can PAUSE the video, read it and then continue and keep on track they are simple to follow and everyone will find the video useful, I would like to say that the origional creator of this effect was actually the Admin of PSD News Box but it was only a text tutorial and i know that some people hate reading off something that only has pictures but anyway I take no credit for that Admins work.
